I reached out to my friends and asked them what are some great places in Central Florida to get them in the Christmas Spirit this week. They gave me a lot of great ideas that I wanted to share with you.
- Lake Eola at night with all the Christmas lights in the spanish moss and the christmas tree. It’s the best!
- Christmas In The Shire— is a home in Hunters Creek where the yard is magnificently lighted and inside are nearly 50 decorated themed trees. No admission but donations are welcomed. The open house is a wonderful social event. Make sure to get out of your car and walk around inside.
- Light up UCF–Running from November 15 through January 5 outside CFE Arena, Light Up UCF has become a holiday tradition, offering an 8,000 square foot outdoor ice skating rink, rides, and holiday attractions. And new this year, it will be SNOWING every evening!
- Cranes Roost Park–lights and decorations all over the park.
- Downtown Celebration lights the big tree at 6;00, strolling carolers, hot chocolate, train ride around town to see the lights, horse and buggy rides. Beautiful! And it “snows” every hour on Market Street.
- Gaylord Palms is decorated! We are going there for brunch on Christmas day. We are going to check out the winter wonderland. Snow, ice, frosty the snowman! Gaylord Palms has a free show as well and it was pretty decent last year.
- Disney hotels. The hotels are decorated with “themed” Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, and decorations. High school singers perform regularly at many of the hotels, FREE and festive.
If you know of other places that I should add to my list, message me. I’d love to know!
